Our Staff

Militar Asbestos Solutions believes in quality and authenticity. This is the reason we have fully certified and licensed staff to do our job for you. If you suspect that your residential or commercial building might be susceptible to asbestos damage and that asbestos fibres may have leaked into the surrounding air (which is the air you and your family members are breathing), come to us. We will send our trained staff for an inspection and to guide you if you need asbestos abatement done or not.

Since this guide was written after consulting our trained staff members, they have told us that some of the asbestos-containing and prone-to-damage areas in buildings are:

  • Roof shingles and sidings
  • Popcorn Ceilings
  • Drywall and cement sheets
  • Electrical switchboard panels
  • Pipe and duct coverings
  • Vinyl floor tiles
  • Plaster and putties
  • Plumbing fixtures

Hence, as you can see, almost every single piece of construction material in your house might be containing asbestos particles and vulnerable to damage. We strongly believe in training our staff correctly before they are sent on an assignment. They are trained in various processes which include:

  1. Pre-asbestos abatement procedures: These include activities that are performed before the start of the process, and include identification and marking of damaged areas, classifying the type of abatement required and shortlisting the processes.
  2. Preparing the work area: This includes training on how to quarantine the affected area. It also involves demarcating the area to seal off for people. Besides, it can also include the neighbouring buildings of the affected site.
  3. Setting up and managing the decontamination units: This includes training on how to operate the different types of equipment used during the abatement process. Workers are given proper training so that they know how to handle the equipment well and avoid any health hazard.
  4. Using protection: Asbestos contaminated air is very harmful and is known to cause various health issues, including severely damaging the lungs. Hence, utmost care must be taken if operating in an asbestos fibre-filled environment. Our staff is given proper training on how to use protective gear while performing the abatement.
  5. Other safety considerations: Besides the above, the staff is specially trained to undertake appropriate safety precautions before, during and after carrying out the asbestos abatement process.
  6. Proper disposal of harmful asbestos waste: The staff is trained on how to handle the asbestos waste and dispose of it properly. They are provided with respirators, eyewear, disposable gloves, rubber boots, and black polythene bags to assist them during the waste disposal. They are trained on how to encapsulate the waste, which is further transported to a landfill site for final incineration.
  7. Only after our staff has undergone the above-mentioned rigorous training process, they are given a final go-ahead for taking up and completing assignments. They are also monitored continuously throughout and awarded based on their performance. Henceforth, you can rest assured that your safety is in the hands of asbestos removal specialists.
